Reigning champions and current pacesetters St George’s triumphed 7-2 at Laxey thanks in large to a double hat-trick from Ciaran McNulty. The former Gymns man’s six-goal haul means he become the first player to have score more than 300 goals in the Manx Premier League since Division One was re-branded in 2007.
Calum Morrissey chipped in with Geordies’ other goal as Chris Bass Sr’s men took their tally to 36 goals in only five games.
Corinthians also have 15 points from their first five league games of the campaign after they beat Ramsey 7-0 at Ballacloan.
Danny Oram scored a hat-trick against his former club joining Luke Murray, Phil Kelly, Danny Gerrard and Ryan Burns on the scoresheet for the Whites.
Peel are up to third after they triumphed 4-0 over Douglas Royal.
Daniel Bell gave the Sunset City side a first-half lead at Ballafletcher before Dominic McGreevy, summer signing Johnny Shields and a Lee Gale penalty completed the scoring for Steve Falconer’s side.
Promoted Braddan’s fine start to the season continued with a 2-0 win over Colby at Victoria Road.
First-half goals from Kyle Sum-Warrander and Stuart Pacey fire the Swans up to the dizzying heights of fourth in the fledgling standings.
A Jordan Cooper hat-trick plus a goal from fellow summer signing Jordan Crawley gave St Mary’s 4-0 victory over DHSOB.
There was an eight-goal thriller at Springfield Road as Douglas Athletic drew 4-4 with St John’s United, the former picking up their first point of the season as a result.
In Division Two, Foxdale have gone top of the standings with early pacesetters RYCOB not playing.
Dale beat Governor’s Athletic 6-2 with the Silver Boot contender Jay Chatwood again on target.
The ex-Michael United striker scored four with Matty Moffatt and Liam Cannan making up the Dale total.
Pulrose won a ding-dong battle at Malew 3-4, the latter having a man sent off in the closing stages.
Nathan Yates was at the double for Pully, joining the prolific Stephen Glover and skipper Craig Cowin on target for Paul Guiver’s charges.
Onchan won 2-0 at Gymns to move into fifth.
There was another 4-4 thriller in the second tier, Douglas and District and Michael United sharing eight goals at Noble’s Park. Former Isle of Man FA manager Nick Hurt grabbed a brace for the latter as did Ste Quayle as the westerners battled to a point.
Union Mills clocked up their first win of the campaign beating Ayre United 7-2 at Garey Mooar.
