Castletown won Wednesday evening’s southern derby with Malew in JCK Division Two.

Dave Kelly put Town a goal up before Jack Gilbert fired in a quick-fire equaliser for Clagh Vane hosts.

Ash Egan put the Ballasalla outfit 2-1 up, Joe Glover equalising just after the half-hour mark for the Mets.

Harrison Pickard scored what turned out to be the derby game’s winner with 56 minutes on the clock.

Foxdale won the night’s other derby match, beating Michael United 11-1. Former Aces striker Jay Chatwood bagged five goals against his old club, joining Matty Middleton (3), Kevin Pulman, Charlie Harrison and Alex Hewes on the scoresheet for Antony Corkill’s side. Ste Quayle netted United’s consolation.

Union Mills continued their flying start to the season with a 6-0 win over Gymns. Luke Booth’s purple patch in front of goal continued for a second match with a hat-trick. Fellow attackers Kyle Uren (2) and Jordan Crawley completed the scoring for Steven Fox’s charges.

Governor’s Athletic were the evening’s other big winners, beating struggling Pulrose United 17-0 to continue Tony Sewell’s side’s 100 per cent start to the term. Karl Dobbin netted a double hat-trick for Govs in the club's biggest ever win.

Elsewhere RYCOB and Colby shared the points in a 2-2 draw, while Douglas and District got off the mark with a 5-2 win over Braddan. Daniel Stewart-Clague netted a brace for D and D, joining Luke Callister, Mark Quirk and Graeme Gawne on the scoresheet.
