St John’s are facing relegation to Division Two next season after being hit with a point deduction by the Isle of Man FA’s league management committee.
The Saints have been docked one point after fielding an ineligible player in their last league game of the Premier League season against Douglas Royal.
That match at Ballafletcher ended 2-2, a result that relegated Royal on goal difference.
The point the Saints gained in that match has now been taken off them, meaning they finish a point below Douglas Royal in the final standings and now face the prospect of second-tier football next term for the first time since 2011.
The Johnners have 14 days to appeal the decision.
