Isle of Man FA’s under-18 side are through to the quarter-finals of the FA County Youth Cup after second-round opponents Manchester withdrew from the competition.
Lewis Qualtrough’s teens beat Cheshire 4-2 after extra-time in the first round to tee up a home tie with the Mancunians next month.
This, however, will now not be played with the Manx given a walkover after the cup holders elected to withdraw following an an executive decision made by the Manchester FA board.
The Isle of Man’s Jacksons-sponsored squad will now wait to find out who they will face in round three, a fixture which must be played by Sunday, January 19.
