St George’s stunned reigning Canada Life Premier League champions St Mary’s at the Bowl on Saturday afternoon.

Connor Hislop starred for the Glencrutchery Road outfit as he sent Geordies on their way with a hat-trick and he was joined on the scoresheet by Ciaran McNulty, Cameron Kay and Nathan Cardy as they triumphed 6-1. Joe Canipa netted Marys’ consolation goal.

Elsewhere in the top flight, early pacesetters Rushen United continued their unbeaten start to the campaign with a hard-fought 2-0 win away at Ayre United courtesy of goals from Jamie Johnston and Furo Davies.

Corinthians remain hot on their heels after a ruthless 10-1 demolition of newly-promoted St John’s United at Ballafletcher.

Sean Doyle led the way with a hat-trick while there was also a brace for Stephen Whitley and they were joined on the scoresheet by Josh Ridings, Danny Gerrard, Luke Murray, Phil Kelly and Kane Ridings.

Laxey continued their fine start to the campaign with a 6-1 victory at home to Marown, thanks largely to a Michael Fernandes hat-trick. Also amongst the goals were Ryan Gartland, Darryl Haslett and Luke Strickett-Morling.

Douglas Royal recorded their second win of the campaign with an impressive 4-1 over DHSOB - no details of the scores have been received.

Peel had to come from behind to get the better of Ramsey at Douglas Road. Dylan Pickles put the northerners ahead in the first half but strikes from Danny Lane and Scott Horne sealed all three points for the hosts.

RYCOB were in good form in JCK Division Two as they brushed aside Governor’s Athletic 6-1 at the Station Fields. Lewis Moran and Ste Grose both helped themselves to braces while there were also goals for Andy Cleator and Jason Craine.

Elsewhere in the second division, a Jay Chatwood hat-trick plus goals from Andrew Williamson and Stephen Bettridge ensured Foxdale claimed a 5-1 win at home to Castletown.

Braddan claimed an impressive 4-2 win over the previously in-form Colby at Victoria Road courtesy of goals from Jamie Brew, Nick Harvey, Mikey Hutton and Jamie Spicer.

Malew were the joint highest scorers in the division as they put eight past Douglas and District at Noble’s Park in a match which was subject to a lengthy delay after a serious injury to a D&D player.

Will Gavin and Daniel Stewart-Clague scored for the hosts but a four-goal haul from Dorin Tatar sent Malew on their way and further strikes from Ash Egan, Jamie Skillen, Eddie Cooper and Paddy Cooper confirmed the win for the southerners.

Onchan and Gymns were also both in good scoring form as they each recorded resounding wins away at Michael United and Pulrose United respectively.

The Os triumphed 7-1 at Balleira Road while Gymns went one better with an 8-1 win at Springfield Road courtesy of goals from Connor Dempsey (2), Simon Dixon (2), Adam Johnson (2), Ross Crawford and Alex Hamilton.
