Wayne Lisy has been named as the new Isle of Man Football Association women’s island representative team manager.
After the announcement, Lisy commented: ’I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to manage the IoMFA women’s representative team.
’With the existing quality of female players and the growing talent of girls and women footballers in the island, this is sure to be an exciting time in the build up to the next Island Games in 2023.’
Chair of the island representative committee, Shaun Gritton, added: ’Congratulations to Wayne on securing the women’s representative managers role.
’I am excited to be working with him and his support team, with the focus on preparing for the Island Games in Guernsey in 2023.
’We both agree there is potentially the most talented pool of players that the island has ever had and, with the qualities he has shown managing Peel, combined with his enthusiasm and passion for the island managers job, I am looking forward to the journey ahead.’
