There’s a potentially pivotal game at the top of JCK Division Two this weekend when two of the leading promotion contenders go head-to-head.

The game in question takes place at Ballacloan Stadium where fifth-placed Ramsey play host to second-placed Malew. Both teams are expected to be in the mix for promotion and possibly the title, so there’s a lot at stake this weekend.

The southerners currently lie four points ahead of their opponents and are one of only two unbeaten teams in the division so far this season, therefore they will start as marginal favourites in what should be a close game.

Should Malew drop points, third-placed Pulrose United could leapfrog them should they get the better of Ayre United in Andreas. The Springfield Road outfit are in fine goalscoring form and will fancy their chances of recording their seventh win of the season on Saturday.

There’s a derby on the cards at Bemahague where Governor’s Athletic entertain near-neighbours Onchan. While the Os will undoubtedly start as favourites, Governor’s put up a brave fight against Pully last time out and can cause Onchan a few problems.

Should Douglas and District clock up their third win in a row in their game against Colby, they could surge up the table to just outside the top four.

Leaders RYCOB will be expected to get the better of plucky Gymns at Scoill ree Gorree, as will Union Mills who entertain Michael United at Garey Mooar.
