For the second successive week the Canada Life Premier League scheduled is effected by calls-up to an Isle of Man FA representative side.
The senior men’s squad’s match with the Peterborough and District League has left only three games in the top-flight on Saturday.
Pick of these is at Glen Road where Laxey play host to St John’s United.
The pair are only separated by a point in the standings, Laxey sitting in sixth and the Saints in eighth.
The two teams look well matched, especially after Rick Holden’s westerners beat St Mary’s 5-1 last time out to pick up their first win of the campaign.
After Laxey triumphed in their opening two fixtures, Paul Callow’s charges have lost their last three, a run they will be keen to arrest.
This one could go either way.
Corinthians travel to Colby looking to extend their 100 per cent start to the season.
The league leaders, however, head south without goalkeeper Adam Killey and winger Dan Simpson who are in Paul Jones’s Isle of Man FA squad, while striker Sean Doyle is sidelined after suffering a tear to the radial meniscus in his right knee.
Colby will battle hard at home, but the Whites should have enough strength in depth to take all the points.
Douglas Royal host DHSOB in the top-flight’s other games.
Promoted Royal have yet to register a win on their return to the Premier League, but might get a point out of an Old Boys side that is yet to get into their stride.
