The Isle of Man FA’s last-16 tie with the Liverpool County League means only three games go ahead in the Premier Division on Saturday.

The three games taking place involve six of the top-flight’s current bottom seven.

All will be looking for points to move them clear of the league’s two relegation spots which are currently occupied by Douglas Royal and Ramsey.

Royal sit out this weekend’s action, but the northerners are set to take to the field when they host Laxey at Ballacloan. The northerners have lost their last five and currently have only three points to their name.

Laxey arrested a poor run of form themselves last week with vicory over bottom side Royal and should go into this ones as favourites to return down the east coast with all three points.

An intriguing match looks on the cards at Victoria Road where Braddan host St Mary’s.

The latter started life under new player-manager Alex Harrison with a win over Ramsey last week and will go into this game hopeful of at least claiming a point. The Swans, however, have only lost once at home so far this season and ex-Saints Joey Andrews, Stuart Pacey and Carl Wagstaffe will be eager to get one over their former club.

The day’s other game should result in a fourth win on the bounce for Douglas Athletic. Opponents and hosts Colby have lost their last five conceding 30 goals and scoring only once during that run. The Pinks, by contrast, have hit the back of the net 15 times in their last three games.
