The fixtures for the first few weeks of the 2020-21 Manx football season have been confirmed, with several potentially key clashes taking place.

The new campaign begins in earnest on Saturday, August 15 - less than two weeks’ away - with teams from the Premier League, Division Two, Combination One and Combination Two all in action at 2.30pm.

Reigning top flight champions St Mary’s - under new manager Peter Langridge - have a free week, while the games between Rushen United v St George’s at Croit Lowey and Corinthians v Peel at Ballafletcher have already been postponed as a result of the FC Isle of Man versus Guernsey game at the Bowl on the same day.

Newly-promoted Ayre United and St John’s United begin their Canada Life Premier League campaigns at home to Douglas Royal and DHSOB respectively, while Marown go head-to-head with Ramsey in Crosby and Laxey entertain Douglas Athletic at Glen Road.

In JCK Division Two, relegated sides Castletown and Pulrose United begin with home matches against Onchan and Union Mills respectively, while there’s a southern derby on the cards at the Station Fields where Colby host Malew. Similarly, Braddan welcome previous near-neighbours Governor’s Athletic to Victoria Road, although the latter side will now play their home games in Colby during the new season.

Elsewhere, Foxdale begin their campaign against Douglas and District at Billy Goat Park and RYCOB make the journey to Tromode where they take on Gymns. Michael United will have a free week.

The rest of August’s fixtures have also been confirmed, notably Corinthians going up against St Mary’s the following Saturday before the first Old Firm clash of the new season takes place at Croit Lowey on August 29 between Rushen United and Peel.
