Isle of Man footballer Brody Patience is enjoying an excellent season for the University of Houston in America.

The former Union Mills and Corinthians attacker has been in impressive form for the university’s Victoria Jaguars team, helping the side get off to their best start in program history.

The Jaguars have won every single one of their six games so far this season, with Patience scoring the opening goal in a 4-0 win over Concordia Tornadoes on Sunday.

The Manx player is the team’s leading goalscorer so far in this campaign having scored five times already - including three game-winning strikes - plus he has also racked up five assists, bringing his overall total to 19 goals and 13 assists in 51 games during his four seasons there.

Speaking to the Manx Independent earlier this week, Brody commented: ’Everything’s going to plan at the minute, we’ve won the first six and it puts us in a perfect position going into the conference.

’A highlight for me personally would be getting the RRAC (Red River Athletic Conference) offensive player of the week a few weeks back.

’I’ve been offered to play PDL (Professional Development League) next summer once I’m done with college here, but I’m still not sure what my plans are for next year. I’m just focusing on this season.’

The Jaguars return to action today (Thursday) when they travel to Texas Wesleyan.
