Ramsey Youth Centre and Old Boys’ Alanna Pritchard has signed with Blackburn Rovers under-16s girls team ahead of the new season.
The 15-year-old Alanna Pritchard put pen to paper on her first official contact with Rovers last week, after impressing at trials in June.
Alanna accepted a spot last season in the Manchester United’s girls’ development programme where she attended monthly training sessions with the club, but has now made the switch to Rovers.
The Ramsey Grammar School student has been involved with the Isle of Man Football Association’s Player Development Centre from a young age, aswell as playing for Youthie since the age of 11 previously having played for Laxey FC’s girls’ sides.
Alanna said: ’I’m so happy to have been signed with Blackburn Rovers for next season - it’s a fantastic opportunity and I can’t wait to get stuck in.

Alanna’s coach at Youthie, Gary Sherry added : ’Couldn’t be happier for Alanna, she has put in so much hard work herself behind the scenes and totally deserves this.’
