The race for promotion takes centre stage at Victoria Road in JCK Division Two this weekend.
The game in question sees the team in fifth, Braddan, play host to a St John’s side that currently lies six points better off in third place.
The visitors are well placed to challenge for honours, sitting only two points adrift of leaders Ayre United with a game in hand as we head towards the final third of the season.
In a quirk of the fixture list, the sides only met a few weeks ago in the reverse meeting and on that occasion it was the Saints who romped to a 6-1 victory at Mullen-e-Cloie so will start as favourites in this one.
Braddan, though, have already beaten the likes of the previous leaders Colby and RYCOB so should not be taken lightly at all.
Leaders Ayre United will be expected to prove too strong for bottom-of-the-table Governor’s Athletic at Bemahague, although the latter claimed a good point in their previous league outing at Douglas and District.
A close game could be on the cards at Balleira Road where Michael United face Onchan for the second time in a week, the Os having won 4-1 in the GH Corlett Woods Cup last Saturday. Expect a tighter game this time around which could go either way.
Colby have come unstuck in recent weeks and face a potentially tricky trip to Douglas and District who upset RYCOB in the cup last time out, while the final game sees Gymns head to Billy Goat Park and Foxdale.
