This season’s Craig Heartstrong Foundation Hospital Cup will reaches its penultimate stage on Sunday afternoon.
In a new move for the competition, both of the semi-final ties will be played concurrently on the two adjacent pitches at Ballafletcher.
Laxey take on beaten FA Cup finalists Peel on Corinthians’ pitch, while holders St George’s face Rushen United on Douglas Royal’s.
The latter game is potentially St George’s penultimate hurdle as the Glencrutchery Road side home in on a third Grand Slam.
The pair have met three times so far this campaign, Geordies winning on every occasion.
However, when the duo met in the quarter-final stages of the Friends Provident International FA Cup, the Saints required extra-time to see off their opponents who had held a two-goal lead at half-time.
Rushen enjoyed a succesful outing at Ballafletcher at the weekend edging past Corinthians on penalities in a pulsating quarter-final tie.
Liam Cowin and goalkeeper Dean Kearns both played well in that fixture and are sure to be busy again this Sunday against Cowin’s former side.
Geordies will be favourites to tee up another final date, but will have to make sure they do a professional job against a handy Rushen outfit.
The other last-four encounter also has a slight favourite in the shape of Peel.
The westerners won both their league fixtures with Laxey - 6-1 and 3-0 - and have only suffered one defeat, in the FA Cup final, since the turn of the year.
Steve Falconer’s men have coped relatively well with the loss of Golden Boot winner Ashley Webster, but will also be without skipper Daniel Bell for this weekend’s tie against Falconer’s former club.
Bell was also missing for the 7-1 quarter-final win over Colby, a game that saw youngsters Billy Kennaugh and Tom Wood on the scoresheet.
Laxey by contrast had to come from behind to scrape past a battling Marown and make their way into the last four.
Steve Moran’s men have struggled for form in the last few months and finished the league season with only one point from their last four games.
The Glen Road outfit will have been buoyed by the club’s run to the semi-finals of the Junior Cup, however, and will be hoping to reach a first major final since 2011.
Both games kick-off at the earlier time of 2.30pm.
Spectators will be charged £3 to enter the ground with all the gate money being presented to Craig Heartstrong Foundation as a thank you from the Isle of Man FA for providing all 26 member clubs with defibrillators free of charge.
All profits from the catering will also be donated by Corinthians and Douglas Royal to the charity.
