The cycling community mourned the loss of Geoff Quine on December 18, 2011 and have been remembering his kindness and generosity with an annual ride since.

This year’s memorial ride will be on Saturday, December 28, setting off from Cycle 360 with a prompt departure of 9am. Riders will be set off in groups of 12 or so, with the intention that friends and families can ride together in a safe way.

The route will incorporate the traditional ride out, passing Geoff’s former home in Ballasalla, returning to Cycle 360 no later than 11am for hot drinks and a free scone in exchange for donations to the Manx Diabetic Group and the MS Society.

l The World Hamper Road Race takes place on Sunday, December 29 at Jurby.

Organised by Manx Viking Wheelers, it is possible to enter via TLI with signing on from 9am at Jurby Parish Hall on the day. The race, which will be handicapped, will start at 10am.
