A large group of 31 Team RL360 members enjoyed two days of intensive track training at the Geraint Thomas Velodrome in Newport during school half-term.

The Manx youngsters spent a total of 12 hours ’on the boards’ under the expert tuition of leading British Cycling coaches Garrie Tillett and Jodie Lloyd.

All the RL360 riders successfully completed the tasks they were given during the sessions, which covered most of the skills required for competing on the track.

l The Stuart Slack Parishes Ride takes place this Sunday, starting at the NSC (New Castletown Road entrance), 8.30am slower group, 9am for the rest.

The entry is £10, including buffet lunch at St John’s. An entry sheet is now available in Bikestyle. This year’s designated charities are Samaritans IoM and Hospice IoM.

l Isle of Man Cycling Association’s annual general meeting will take place in the Jimmy Crosbie Memorial Hall, Derby Road, Douglas on Thursday, November 22. It will commence at 6.30pm.
