Isle of Man professional golfer Tom Gandy is to make his European Tour debut next week. The Rowany ace has confirmed that he is scheduled to compete in the South African Open which fires into life next Thursday, January 9.The 27-year-old enjoyed a remarkable year in 2019 and qualified for the end-of-season Q School in Spain where he only narrowly missed out on a place on the full European Tour by a single shot. However, he assured himself of a place on the Challenge Tour and also means he can make guest appearances at various European Tour events such as the South Africa Open.Previous winners in  this event include golfing legends such as Gary Player and Ernie Els.The field will be the strongest Tom has competed in and will be a real test for the Manx golfer.Interview with Gandy in Thursday’s Manx Independent.
