Entries close this Sunday at midnight (August 15) for the 2021 Gran Fondo, presented by PokerStars.

Boosted by the prestigious status of being a UCI Gran Fondo World Championship qualifier, this year’s event is on Saturday and Sunday, September 4 and 5.

The 137km Gran Fondo race on the Sunday features over 1,900 metres of climbing as it circumnavigates some of the toughest terrain the island has to offer.

Running concurrently with the Gran Fondo will be the 72km Medio Fondo and the 32km Piccolo Fondo.

The Medio is for recreational riders wanting to test themselves that little bit further and features one of the island’s most challenging ascents (Druidale), as well as one of its very best descents (Tholt-y-Will) – offering riders the perfect balance of effort and reward.

Aimed at families and beginners, the Piccolo Fondo will wind its way around the flatter northern plains.

The ever popular free-to-enter Isle of Man Creamery Minisculo Fondo will be on the Saturday afternoon. A family-friendly event, it will be held over a half-mile circuit in and around Ramsey’s Mooragh Park, open to children, families and beginners with participants completing as many laps as they want in one hour’s worth of riding in a safe, fully-closed roads environment.
