Olympic and British Athletics legend Greg Rutherford MBE is to be the guest of honour at April’s Isle of Man Sports Awards.
Greg became an Olympic long jump champion during the 2012 Games’ iconic ’Super Saturday’ at the London Stadium.
That night Rutherford, who was also crowned world champion in 2015, beat his nearest competitor by a full 17 centimetres to land gold, one of six one for Team GB that day.
The Isle of Man Sports Awards sponsored by Microgaming PlayItForward, are a highlight of the Manx sporting calendar and will be held on Thursday, April 4 at the Villa Marina.
Nominations for the evening’s various awards close tomorrow evening, Thursday. Forms are available from the IOM Sports Awards Facebook page or at www.isleofmansport.com
