There’s still plenty of medals up for grabs as the Island Games reaches its final day of action in Gibraltar on Friday.
The Isle of Man is well represented in the half-marathon which starts at 9am BST. Alan Corlett, who won 10,000m gold on the track earlier in the week, joins Max Costley and 2017 silver medalist Ollie Lockley in the men’s race, while Hannah Howard and Elissa Morris go in the women’s.
At the same time Peter Dunne’s women’s basketball squad take on the hosts in the bronze play-off aiming to secure only a second ever medal the Games.
Jessica Li will have a busy day at the Europa Sports Complex as she contests both the singles and women’s doubles finals. She teams up with Kim Clague in the doubles, the latter woman looking for a fourth successive gold in the event.
Tennis player Karen Faragher also has two finals to look forward to.
She will team up with Laura Feely as they aim to retain the women’s title they won two years ago before switching partners to Marc Chinn for the mixed final at 3.30pm BST.
Table tennis player Katherine Vinas could add to what could be a very successful day for team Isle of Man as she is through to the last for of both the women’s and women’s doubles competition.
She partners Kerenza Baker in the latter.
Rifle shooter Matthew Roosen is in the 50m prone smallbore rifle final. Team-mate Tracey Skelton sixth in the women’s equivalent yesterday.
There’s several athletics finals took look forward to on the track, including the women’s 800m at 3.15pm BST which sees Rachael Franklin try and complete a 800/1,500 double.
