The James Berry Memorial Ride takes place on Saturday week, October 21, starting from the TT Grandstand at 9am.

It will cover 55 miles to the refreshments halt at Milntown House on the fringes of Ramsey.

A shorter route of approximately 20 miles starts from Mooragh Park at 9.30am and also winds up at Milntown. The entry fee is £10, sign on at Bikestyle, Buck’s Road, Douglas.

l The rescheduled Stuart Slack Parishes Ride will take place on Sunday, November 5.

Entries are being carried over from the original date, but will be re-opened at Bikestyle at the same fee of £10, and will be taken up until 5pm on Friday, November 3.

The event, which is non-competitive, will start at 8.30am from the NSC main gates on New Castletown Road, Douglas. Faster riders at 9am.

There will be refreshments after 50 miles at St John’s football clubhouse. This year’s chosen charities are The Childrens’ Centre and Team RL360 youth cycling.

l Ellan Vannin Cycling Club’s AGM will take place at Paparazzi Pizzeria, Windsor Hotel, Loch Promenade, Douglas next Wednesday, October 18 at 6.30pm.

Members intending to attend and dine later are asked to confirm with club secretary Ian Brand.

l The Bikestyle handicap road race series presentations take place on Saturday, October 21 at Noa’s Bakehouse, Fort Street, Douglas.

Entry is free for all riders that participated, partners and guests are £5. Places are limited due to the size of the venue so drop Steve Shimmin an email at [email protected] to reserve a place.

l Manx Viking Wheelers AGM has been rearranged for Monday, October 23 in the upstairs room of the Isle of Man Sport Institute building from 7pm.

It was originally arranged for the Wednesday, Oct 25 but the venue was double booked.
