David Knight continued his solid start to the 2021 edition of the Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia on Sunday.

The 42-year-old Manxman, riding for HT Rally Raid Husqvarna Racing, successfully negotiated his way through stage seven - a 737km route from Ha’il to Sakaka in a time of five hours 25 minutes and 58 seconds.

That placed the Ballaugh ace in 32nd place on the stage, some 48m 14s behind stage winner Ricky Brabec, and ensured he remained 36th in the overall standings.

Knighter is also lying fifth in the rookie standings heading into Monday’s eighth stage, with the race set to finish on Friday in Jeddah.

- Knighter is being supported by UGGLY & CO, a clothing brand created and woven from a passion for extreme sports including skiing, skateboarding, motorsports and downhill mountain biking.

After his title sponsor pulled out, the company approached him with one aim in mind, helping Knighter get to the Dakar.

UGGLY & CO has created the ’Knighter 101 cap’ (pictured) to help all those at home support David in Saudi Arabia, whilst also helping the Dakar fund.
