Daniel McCanney did not contest the final round of the ACU British Timecard Enduro Championship last weekend because of a wrist injury.
The Gas Gas UK rider said that gutted was an understatement to miss the Natterjack, but explained that a wrist injury picked up in the recent world round in Italy needed to heal for the next World Enduro round in France on September 22-23.
’It made sense to sit last weekend out,’ he admitted.
’Luckily enough, the points I earned at the Rhyadar round last month meant that I’d secured the British Enduro Championship for the first time after years of bad luck and injuries.
’A huge thank you to all my sponsors, family, girlfriend, Juan Knight Off-Road & ATV, and off course Gas Gas Motos UK for all the hard work this season.’
Jed Etchells retired from the championship class after two tests in Saturday’s round at the sandy-based military camp at Longmoor near Borden in Hampshire.
Russ Millward finished sixth in the over-40 veterans category.
