Numbers were not particularly encouraging for the first motocross of the year at Knock Froy on Sunday, but the racing was nevertheless quite good.

Jordan Corkill won all three adult races, but had to work hard for his hat-trick after coming off in the early stages of the last moto. He fought his way back to overtake Kane Hall on the final corner.

Hall and Alex Bottomley swapped positions a couple of times, but both had good rides to end up second and third overall.

There was some exciting racing in the 125s where Luke Saunders and Beau Brown battled it out early on but both suffered punctures, costing them vital points.

Jack Keenan rode more consistently to take the overall honours with two seconds and a win in the final moto.

Ryan Christian was pushed hard all day by Travis Meechan in the Big-Wheel 85s, while Harry Shand edged third.

Alfie Mathieson-Nelson had a great ride to win all three Small-Wheel races to take the overall from Josh Blackley and Sean Crowe.

Toby Lang had a really good day in the 65s taking the overall win from closely-matched Leo Gray and Marley Meechan.

The autos only had two riders but they both rode brilliantly with Riley Faragher taking the win from Lucian France.
