Vagabonds Ladies are back in action this Saturday when they host Women’s NC One West league leaders Preston Grasshoppers at Ballafletcher.

This will be the Manx side’s first league home fixture in more than two years.

These teams have faced each other on many occasions previously and all encounters have been closely fought, with the pendulum of victory swinging evenly between the two sides.

Vagabonds were disappointed with their performance two weeks ago when they faced a strong Broughton Park side, therefore the island outfit will be keen to restore some pride and get back to winning ways this weekend.

Vagas coach Kyle Crouser has a larger squad to choose from this week and, although there remain some injury concerns, numbers are good and he will have some greater strength and depth as players return from injury and illness.

Preston Grasshoppers have a strong combination of a solid pack and fast backs that have challenged many sides this season and earned them an early top-of-the-table billing.

Vagabonds have yet to have a run of games to build momentum but captain Lauren Ellison has the team behind her to get the home win.
