Vagabonds recorded their first point of the South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Two season when they drew 15-15 with Port Sunlight at Ballafletcher on Saturday.

Vagas initially took the lead through a Tom Gascoyne try. Sunlight levelled after Alex Bedson went in at the other end. A John Glover penalty got Sunlight’s noses in front and Steve Bailey’s try just before half-time, converted by Glover, saw the teams turn around with Vagas trailing 5-15.

Cam Findlay kicked a penalty early in the second half to reduce the deficit and, as the game neared its end, Owen Carvin’s try brought Vagas even closer before Cam Findlay’s touchline conversion tied the game.
