Ryan Quirk produced a flawless performance to scoop all three 125/250F races in round four of Isle of Man Schoolboy Motocross Club’s series.
The three amigos of Quirk, Jack Keenan and Grant Skeoch dominated the class at Ballagarraghyn on a day when proceedings were delayed one hour because of early-morning rain.
Newcomers to the class, twin brothers Niall and Jacob McCanney, rode their 125 Yamahas to fourth and fifth spots overall.
It was a similar story in the big-wheel 85s where Beau Brown scored a full-house of wins. Liam Smith looked set for the number two spot, but a poor finish in race three demoted him to third behind Ethan Blackley.
Callum Christian got off to a flier in the small-wheel class on his new Husqvarna, pushed by southern freerider Travis Meechan.
The latter was ruled out after a big off early in race two, bringing out the red flags.
Harry Shand was keen for a piece of the action and he won both the remaining races to secure the overall honours, with Christian - unable to match his race one pace - settling for the runner-up spot ahead of Alfie Mathieson-Nelson. The latter showed his resilience by picking himself up off the ground after a smash on the final lap of race three to grab the final podium position overall.
The 65cc and Autos ran concurrently on the smaller track where Toby Lang turned real promise into reality by winning two out of the three 65cc races, Herbie Hampton-France taking race one. Marley Meechan rode well to take third overall.
Stanley Dentith continued to impress in the Autos, seeing off Riley Faragher and Leo Gray.
There was a slight reduction in numbers in the adult class, where Max Ingham took three straight wins on his 250 Yamaha, looking super smooth.
Liam Crellin rung the neck out of his Ricky Carmichael-liveried Suzuki but could not stick with the Yamaha man, while Jordan Corkill kept him on his toes with an impressive ride.
The Hall brothers also impressed and are within touching distance of a top-three finish.
