Isle of Man Billiards and Snooker Association has confirmed that the Macs Builders Merchants Snooker League will restart next Wednesday, July 8.

All teams have indicated they are happy to complete the four remaining rounds of matches, the first of which were the games scheduled to be played way back on March 18. The remaining league action will then take place on July 15, 22 and 29.

Newbys DSC currently hold a five-point advantage at the top of the table and have, on paper, some tough matches against current champions FH Mob, third-placed DSC Hurricanes, runners-up Peel Legion and FH Young Guns standing between them and a first title success.

Hopefully everybody has or will have had a chance for some practice and competitors can look forward to an exciting conclusion to the league.

Details regarding dates and venues for the completion of the Wakefield Cup and individual competitions will be announced shortly.
