Port Erin Tennis Club enjoyed fantastic weather for its annual regatta tennis tournament the Saturday before last.

It was also pleasing to be able to play on the newly-resurfaced courts which have improved the facilities no end.

The round robin format gave four sets of matches with players changing partners for each round.

Points were awarded for the number of games won and totalled up to provide the winners.

After a number of hard-fought but very sociable matches, the eventual winners were Steve Edwards and Pat Crellin, with runners-up Graham McFarlane and Pat Forster.

The cup was presented by club chairman Mervyn Hills.
