Manx swimmer Charlotte Atkinson has been included in the British squad for the LEN European Short Course Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark from December 13-17.
The Loughborough University student, who competed at the the 2017 FINA World Championships in Budapest during the summer, forms part of a 10-strong British Swimming team for December’s prestigious event.
The team will be led by world champions Duncan Scott, Ben Proud and Adam Peaty who will be joined by a group of younger athletes looking to cement their places within the senior ranks of the British team.
The SQUAD will be looking to gain some valuable early-season racing as they put to the test their competition skills and processes while in the Danish capital.
Team leader and head coach for the event Tim Jones said: ’We have selected a team with a great mix of experience and future potential.
’It will be an excellent opportunity for our next generation to hone their arena skills by working alongside some of our proven senior medallists.
’Whilst the meet is early season, I am sure it will provide some great racing ahead of our benchmark long course meets in 2018.’
