Greeba’s equestrian eventing star Yasmin Ingham put in another great performance in an international event last weekend.

She headed to Yorkshire for the Bramham International Horse Trials where she was competing her own horse, 10-year-old Night Line, in the CCI3* under-25 class.

This was only Yasmin and Night Line’s (known as Leo at home), second CCI3*.

Bramham is one of the most prestigious events on the calendar and is used as a selection event for forthcoming Senior Championships and Nations Cup competitions.

At a CCI (long format) three-day event, the horses have to be first inspected and trotted up in front of ground jury and vets to check they are fit and sound for the competition.

This took place in front of the magnificent Bramham House, and Yasmin and Leo were accepted into the competition.

They performed their best dressage test to date in the huge Bramham main arena and posted a score of 30.8, which put them into 10th place before the cross country.

Saturday’s cross country course was very large and technical, made more difficult by the hilly terrain of the Bramham Park Estate. The course at Bramham is renowned to be one the toughest cross country courses in the world with Ian Stark, a former Olympic rider, as course designer.

Yasmin and Leo finished the cross country with a brilliant clear round, picking up 14 time penalties as she didn’t intend to push hard for the time on her debut at the venue. There were many horses and riders who retired or were eliminated during the cross country.

On the final day, the horses were again inspected before the ground jury to pass them fit to show jump later in the day.

Yasmin and Leo put in an immaculate clear round in the showjumping, which gave them their second double clear at this level and has qualified the pair to be able to compete at the highest level of eventing, which is 4*.

Of her eventual 10th place, Yasmin commented: ’I am just so delighted to come to Bramham for the first time and put in another double clear on Night Line.

’He is only 10 years old and it is very exciting to think that we can now compete at 4* level in the future.

’I haven’t decided when that will be, but after his holiday, we will look to consolidate on 3* level to gain more experience and see how Leo feels.’
