Womann is Isle of Man Today’s special-focus section profiling exceptional women and teams in business, the community, and government on the island.

It's no surprise we have so many incredible women on and from the Isle of Man; we are the birthplace of the inspiration for the actual ‘Wonder Woman’ (Elizabeth Holloway Marston) after all.

What awaits you in the ‘Womann’ section are in-depth interviews with local business women who are kicking ass, taking names, and paving the way for others to come after them (all while being dressed to kill), features highlighting holes in the island's maternity and paternity policies, a basic guide to modern feminism, and a list of top watches (TV, not timepieces) and podcasts written, produced, and starring women, courtesy of Gef.

This content is written to celebrate women, but it is not written solely for women. It's for people of any gender to enjoy. Hopefully over the course of these articles you'll find out some new and interesting things that may also impact you.

‘Womann’ is the first chapter in a three-part multimedia campaign known as ‘The Future Series’. Each instalment takes conversations happening around the world and looks at them on a local level. Chapter two - Green Life - is next up in April in time for Earth Day, and the series will be capped off in May with chapter three - Diversity - to celebrate Cultural Diversity Day.
