Due to rain forecast this morning, there is a delay to Friday’s proposed TT race schedule.

A statement from race organisers added: ‘The weather is due to clear by late morning, with time then needed for roads to dry. A further update will be issued at midday.’

This year’s event has been dogged by wet weather, which has caused several races to be rescheduled and delayed.

Only last night, organisers had decided to run two today (the second Supersport and Superstock races of the week) moving the Supertwin TT planned for Friday into Saturday’s Senior Race Day.

The latter race has also been cut to four laps.

A further update is now expected at 3pm.
