Castletown Civic Centre is shut to the public today as it is being utilised to support the community and partner agencies following last night's incident at the Southern 100.

A statement from the Commissioners said: 'We have had to cancel bookings and the library will not be open today.

'Unfortunately this will also include the planned Manx National Heritage drop-in session about the new nautical museum.

'We apologise for any inconvenience.

'More information will be provided on services available to those affected in due course.'
