The Manx Hockey Association is trying its best to get some games on today in the aftermath of Thursday evening's snow.

Earlier, the NSC had announced that the hockey pitches in Douglas and its regional sites at the island's secondary schools were shut.

However, the MHA is working hard to get the games on with only the matches at the QEII called off.

All matches at Castle Rushen, King William's College and Ramsey Grammar are on subject to pitch inspections by the umpires.

The early game at the NSC has moved to CRHS to give further time for snow and ice to melt there. Umpires will decide whether the later matches go ahead.
